Membership

Membership of ANZSIL is open to all those with an interest in the field of international law, including legal practitioners, academics, government officials, civil society organisations, and students of international law.

The advantages of annual membership of ANZSIL include:

copies of the ANZSIL newsletter and ANZSIL Perspective by email.

Join ANZSIL

To become an ANZSIL member, please select one of the options below and follow the links to join online.

Once you have entered and confirmed your membership details, you will receive an email with your username and password, with which you can log in and complete your payment using PayPal. Please be sure to select the correct country from the dropdown box (at the top of the Paypal screen) otherwise the system will decline the payment.

After your payment has been processed by the PayPal system, you will receive an email confirming that your membership is active, as well as a receipt for your records.

One Year - $100.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments If joining for a one year period, the membership fee is $100. Membership is for one year from the date of joining or renewal.

Two years - $200.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 2 years No automatically recurring payments If joining for a two year period, the membership subscription is $200. Membership is for two years from the date of joining/renewal.

Five years - $400.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 5 years No automatically recurring payments If joining for a period of five years, the membership subscription is reduced to $400. Membership is for five years from the date of joining or renewal.

Associate Member - Free Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments This category of membership is primarily intended for those engaged in full-time study, in particular those who have demonstrated an interest in international law by participating in international law mooting competitions or other activities with an international law component. It is offered every year to students participating in the Australian and New Zealand regional rounds of the Jessup Moot competition, and to the recipients of ANZSIL internship support. The Council may also grant associate membership to other students on application.

Associate membership may be granted for a period of up to three calendar years. A person may be granted associate membership on only one occasion.

Associate members are not required to pay a subscription, are not entitled to stand for election to Council, and are not entitled to vote in Council elections or at the Annual General Meeting of the Society.

Please ensure you indicate the basis on which you are seeking associate membership, including full-time student status and details of your academic institution, in the relevant fields of the membership form.
